Our mission

We are dedicated to providing high-quality and trusted human factors and ergonomics support to New Zealand businesses and industry groups across the country.

Our story

ProErgo+ Limited was established in early 2025 but has been a long-time in the making. It was born out of a passion to make a positive impact for workers and businesses.

Musculoskeletal disorders such as sprains and strains make up around 30% of all workplace harm in Aotearoa New Zealand, affecting thousands of workers every year. They continue to be a huge financial burden for businesses, ACC and the economy.

Other countries are more advanced in their approaches to managing musculoskeletal health risks. But many New Zealand businesses continue to rely on manual handling training as the primary control, even though the evidence shows this is not effective.

With limited updated resources currently available to tackle these issues we saw the need to help businesses and industry groups to better understand and effectively manage their musculoskeletal risks.

About us

Testimonials

We highly recommend ProErgo+ to other businesses looking to proactively manage their musculoskeletal risks.

We have a history of manual handling injuries despite considerable efforts to mitigate them.

Working with Leanne at ProErgo+, we were able to specifically address these challenges. By using her risk management approach, we identified high-risk tasks and received practical, evidence-based suggestions that will directly impact our distribution centre design and layout. We expect this will improve our bottom-line injury rates and worker wellbeing.

We found ProErgo+ to be professional and collaborative as we co-facilitated the manual handling task force sessions together. Leanne shared her deep knowledge with us, and the delivery of both the facilitated sessions and the final report was high-quality and cost-effective. She communicated clearly, provided practical solutions, and delivered everything on time.

Health and Safety Manager - Supply Chain

A high-quality, step-by-step practical approach to solving complex musculoskeletal risks.

Working with ProErgo+ has been an incredibly valuable experience.

Throughout our collaboration, I learned so much about manual handling and ergonomics, and the step‑by‑step workshop approach made the content easy to understand and apply. It also ensured that everyone involved was aligned and working toward the same goals.

Facilitating this work with a large group in a structured, engaging way has helped us thoroughly assess manual handling risks across our distribution centres. We can now confidently focus on the right areas to achieve both quick wins and long-term improvements in reducing manual handling injuries.

I would highly recommend ProErgo+ to any organisation looking to better understand and manage manual handling risks. Their expertise and practical approach make a real difference.
